How do I make a place private or public?

make a place public, just check the box in the Audience section of the Edit screen for that place. To make it private, check the box to indicate which groups can view this place.
  
Can anyone change the details about a place?

Only the creator of a place can change its details. 

What if someone has entered a place that your company owns?

If you are the owner, you can claim ownership of a listing. 

How do I enter more images about my place?

You can upload images in JPEG or GIF format. Free listings are limited to one image. If you would like to enter more images, please indicate your interest in a premium listing.

How do I review a place?

At the bottom of the screen is an opportunity to Share Your Opinion. You can provide a rating and review for that place.
